Milan Loviška expresses through acrylic painting what he considers visually appealing and that, what thrills and disturbs him in the best possible ways. His paintings often combine fantasy with figuration and depict eerie, unsettling narratives to provide strange yet familiar closeness and solace to the viewer. Some of them are self-referential relating to his performance practise. In the process he starts from a photographic reality, then alters colours and adds or subtracts elements, creating thus a multiverse of skewed faces, transgressive bodies and liminal spaces.
